Red wine gets its red color from the skin of the grapes. The color spectrum of red wine is very versatile, it can range from brick red to ruby red to dark violet, which looks almost black. The intensity of the color of the red wine depends, among other things, on the duration of the fermentation of the puree. Unlike white wine, red wine is not crushed immediately after harvest, but the grapes are just scratched and opened so that the juice can escape. The wine is then left to ferment for several weeks. This is how skin color gets into the juice. Red wine expands even more after the fermentation of the puree. This usually happens in stainless steel tanks or in wooden barrels. The rest of the bottles can also be stored in an upright position, but in any case in cool places protected from light, and shocks must also be monitored. You can store an open bottle of red wine in the refrigerator for a day or two, tightly closed. Red wine must be removed from the fridge in time before drinking, otherwise it will not be able to develop its full aroma.
