The stony soils, poor in organic matter, and the mountain microclimate, characterized by the strong Tramuntana, force the plant to develop deep roots and protect themselves with low yields; so we have a small and very concentrated grape, capable of transmitting all the complexity of the "terroir".
Intense cherry color with tile hues. Roasted and balsamic candied aromas , perfectly integrated with the perfumes that French oak presents us with.
In the mouth it is elegant, powerful and expressive ; long and balanced aftertaste, where we enjoy the complexity that these so mineral lands bring us.
Making and rearing
Harvest begins in late September or early October and is harvested by hand. Once in the Cellar we make a second selection of the grapes in a selection table.
The vinification is carried out in a traditional way, with long macerations and at a controlled temperature. The aging process lasts a period of 24 months in French oak barrels and the remaining time in the bottle.
Pairing and service
Ideal to accompany stews, game dishes, beef, firm-textured meats, mature cheeses and Iberian sausages. It is advisable to decant it, in order to extract the full potential of this magnificent wine.
