The grapes with which Naiades is made come from pre-phylloxera vines, which exceed a century of existence and are located in small payments or hawthorns with a sandy surface. Small vines up to 120 years old spread over soils gravelly and sandy with granite and slate outcrops define the identity of this wine. Production
: The harvest is carried out manually. The first maceration is carried out with the whole grape in a cold chamber. A selection is made on the table for subsequent maceration of cold destemmed grapes and subsequent pressing and fermentation in barrels. During aging, batonnage is carried out in the barrels.
Characteristics of the vintage
The 2016 harvest, late, generous and of great quality in Rueda thanks to the excellent health of the grapes and to optimal maturation. Autumn and winter rainfall helped to maintain a water reserve that has been crucial for the vine in the face of a hot and dry summer.
